Chris knows what it’s like to try to take care of himself while living on the streets. And he’s so grateful for Orlando Union Rescue Mission’s services.
“You have a place to shower,” he says. “They have soap. They have shaving cream. They have towels. And you get to get off the street to get your stuff back together. You can’t ask for anything else.”
And Chris asked me to pass this message on to all of our friends:
“God bless you for taking care of the homeless and people in need, because without you we would have nothing. Without your support, half these guys – and probably me too – would be back on the street. And because of you we always have a meal. Always. I don’t have to worry about that.”
Easter is one of the most important times of the year to offer homeless folks like Chris help in Jesus’ name. Hearts are open, and the promise of the resurrection gives them new hope.
