Thank you from Jazzmine

Dear friend,

My name is Jazzmine, and I just want to tell you how your support of Orlando Uniaon Rescue Mission made a difference in my life and in the lives of my two daughters. We came to O.U.R. Mission Family Home in October of 2013 and moved into our own apartment this past March.

I wasn’t sure about coming to a “shelter” at first. I thought I’d be in a room full of bunk beds with a whole bunch of other women and maybe even men. But when they opened the door to Room 221, I couldn’t believe we had a place of our own, and it was such a NICE place! It felt like home.

During our 2½ years at the Mission, I participated in the Jobs Partnership program and eventually found a full-time job. I was able to put money aside to pay off all my debts and build enough savings so we could move out. I also grew stronger in my faith.

I came into the Mission broken, but I left so full of joy. They helped us get back on our feet, and I learned so much during my time there. I’m forever grateful.

I know none of this would have been possible without the help of friends like you, and I just want to say thank you. My daughters and I will never be the same.
