Capital Campaign – Orlando Union Rescue Mission

Honoring our Past, Building our Future

The Orlando Union Rescue Mission, one of Central Florida’s oldest and largest service providers to the homeless, has proposed a new approach to addressing the housing crisis with plans for an ambitious development where men, women, and children will be able to rebuild their lives and achieve self-sufficiency supported by the programs and services of the Mission.

The new development will feature 108 1, 2, and 3-bedroom apartments on the corner of W. Washington St. and Tampa Ave., next to the Moody Chapel and Family Life Center, and will allow graduates of the Mission’s programs and those referred by neighborhood leadership and ministry partners to afford safe, stable, and affordable homes as they move toward financial self-sufficiency and independence.

This new approach to addressing the housing crisis will allow neighborhoods and residents to build relationships, address community concerns about the development, and improve the overall condition of the West Lakes district.
