Central Florida Dignitaries and Homeless Gather to Celebrate Renovation Project
ORLANDO, FL– Tonight, Congressman Daniel Webster, and City of Orlando District 5 Commissioner, Regina Hill, will join in the ribbon cutting ceremony for the completion of Orlando Union Rescue Mission’s (OURM) latest renovation project. The $200,000 overhaul is the first of the Arthur J. and Marie H. Williams Family Life Center (FLC) since its 1998 construction. Not only is the kid-friendly area more esthetically pleasing and welcoming to children of all ages, the areas appropriately themed, “With God All Things are Possible,” are also strategically designed to assist in meeting the developmental and academic needs of the 60 to 80 homeless children that are served daily. O.U.R. Mission Home children, along with donors will celebrate the big reveal together, with opportunities to test their skills with various “Minute-to-Win it” games while being entertained by an event DJ.
