Rescue Mission Offer FREE SNEAKERS at Health Fair
#SolesRestoreSouls Campaign Meets Goal of 1,000 Pairs of Sneakers to Give Away to Those in Need
ORLANDO, FL– On Friday, October 16, 2015 from 3pm-7pm, the National Osteopathic Medical Association (NOMA) in collaboration with the Orlando Union Rescue Mission (OURM) and local chapters of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority (AKA) will be hosting a FREE community-wide Health Fair at O.U.R. Mission Home’s Family Life Center Gymnasium (1525 W. Washington St. Orlando, FL 32805). Some of the health stations will include:
• Various Health Screening Booths
• CPR Training
• Pediatric Wellness Screenings
• Stress Management
• Big Red Bus & more!
In addition, we will have a foot washing station . At the end of this station, participants will be given a new pair of shoes. *Please note: Shoes will be given out on a first come, first serve basis.* A shuttle service will be offered from 2:30pm-6:30pm at the following locations:
1. O.U.R. Mission Bargain Store (911 W. Central Blvd.)
2. O.U.R. Men’s Center (410 W. Central Blvd.)
3. BP Gas Station (410 Old Winter Garden Rd-On the Corner of JYP & Old Winter Garden)
4. Wawa-1200 W. Colonial Drive-(on the corner of 50 & Orange Blossom Trail)
