City of Orlando and Local Mission Team Up For a Better Paramore

(5th District Commissioner to Take part in Community Work Day)

Orlando, FL – Carter Street Neighborhood Association (CSNA), Orlando Union Rescue Mission (OURM), and the City of Orlando have teamed up to host Parramore’s inaugural Neighborhood Community Work Day. The clean-up initiative comes just weeks after the Orlando City Municipal Planning Board voted 4-3 in favor of relocating the Mission’s Men’s Center to a proposed site on Anderson Street. “Working in our communities both demonstrates our commitment to our neighbors and gives the men who live at the Mission a chance to meet their neighbors while serving others in the name of Christ,” said OURM President Fred B. Clayton.

The event will take place on Saturday, January 30 and is open to the community. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and clean-up efforts will start at 9:00 a.m. Volunteers will be divided into two groups to work one of two clean-up sites at the corner of Anderson Street and Westmorland Street or at the corner of Westmoreland Street and
Conley Street. All participants will receive free Work Day t-shirts. Water and snacks will be provided.
